What is a Cold Room Door?

While cold room doors resemble standard doors in appearance, they are structurally more advanced with enhanced insulation and sealing capabilities. The inner and outer surfaces of the doors are made of stainless steel or aluminum, with a high-density PIR or PUR insulation core between them. This construction minimizes heat loss, supports energy savings, and offers an aesthetically pleasing finish.

The door frame is manufactured from stainless steel, aluminum, or PVC-coated material, and includes special profiles that break thermal bridges—reducing heat transfer between indoor and outdoor environments to a minimum.

Silicone or rubber gaskets, which may include heating elements depending on the operating temperature, fully seal the gap between the door leaf and the frame. This ensures an airtight seal when the door is closed, preventing air flow and maintaining the internal temperature.
